Thank you and Mr. Armstrong for including local church elders in
the program, and for including the ministers' wives. We feel it
helps them to feel and better understand that they are an impor
tant part in the service of the ministry. The presence of the
wives really adds to the "atmosphere" and enjoyment of the pro
gram. Another benefit of the Refreshing Program was becoming ac
quainted with those serving in international areas. Including
some of them in the group helped us to realize the international
scope of the Work and that we truly are the "Worldwide" Church of
God.

Dear Mr� Tkach:
Gay and I wish to thank you and all the staff for the hospitality
and many generosities extended to us during the recent Refreshing
Program.
The sessions were informative in explaining current
policy and practice; and the growth and sophistication of the
Work around the world was impressive. It was also very pleasant
and nostalgic to visit with many friends of long duration. We
look forward to seeing everyone again in the future.

UPDATE FROM MAIL PROCESSING
New Six-month Record for Books and Booklets Mailed Out
Between January and June of this year, 1,964,400 books and booklets were
mailed out in the United States. As it has been the trend over recent
months, this was another all-time record 1
