In the spiritual !Ehere, "human potential" in the true sense as
described by Mr. Armstrong, is the phenomenal developmental process
of human beings becoming sons of God.
We in the Church -- having the blessing of God's Holy Spirit guiding
us into truth -- should be true examples of the abundant life Christ
talked about in John 10:10. Naturally, Jesus was not equating
abundance merely from a material point of view. This encompasses the
full development of the individual human being as God has gifted each
of us. We as God's people can be a sterling example in our daily
lives. Our conduct with each other as well as with those without
should exemplify Christianity. The basic purpose of the Human Poten
tial Center is to help God's people move toward the realization of
such great potential. We are to be a support unit to the field
ministry as a specialized service from headquarters offering seminars,
publications, tapes and other Christian good works for the betterment
of mankind through the Christian way of living. These resources
will be teaching the true values of life.
The Human Potential Center will function along with Ministerial
Development, Congregational Development, as well as Community Services.
Our services will be available upon request from the field ministry
to help coordinate all activities with the Area Coordinator and pastors.
Also, wherever it is beneficial to the Church, the Human Potential
Center will interrelate with A.I.C.F. whenever practical. In fact,
part of the function of the Human Potential Center will be to take
advantage of the wide national and international recognition of the
Foundation in bringing to the local churches positive programs which
will facilitate the visibility and growth of the Church.
Church headquarters in Pasadena will become, among its many important
functions, a center for Christian human development. We will address
the entire spectrum of daily human activity from the point of view of
God's way. Top speakers in the field as well as our own trained
personnel will be available.

more details in the near future.
