PASTOR GENERAL'S REPORT, November 14, 1980
Page 20
Thanks again for the Refreshing Program. I strongly feel I know now
what Mr. Armstrong is expecting of all of us in the ministry.
There's nothing like unity!
SIOUX FALLS, SD., GEORGE AFFELDT: I see a feeling in the Church
that I saw in the Church in the early sixties. Most of the members
are behind Mr. Armstrong and the other leaders in the Church. No
longer do I hear comments questioning Mr. Rader's loyalty. They 3re
behind him also.
OTTUMWA, IA., JAMES E. REYER: I do not have any questions this time
around because the Refreshing Program answered them all. Thanks,
as this is the first time it has ever happened. My wife and I really
enjoyed the openness that all of you instructors had towards the
many questions fired at you. We need more of this type of give and
take. The fellowship was a high point and really charged me up for
the Feasts.

We rejoice with you (Mr. Armstrong) for God granting us this victory
over the evil forces in the State of California. The news that the
California Attorney General dropped all charges against God's Church
was overwhelmingly wonderful. Yet, as we know, our enemy and
adversary still has it "in" for us, and we cannot let our spiritual
guards down. We must continue in prayer, study and fasting--seeking
to draw closer to our God. He has shown us, through you, that
complete and final victory is ours just ahead, if we "faint" not.
Kenneth & Shirley Weeden (Wilmington, NC)
I can hardly express my joy at the decision of the Attorney General
of California to drop the case against us. I am sure everyone at
Pasadena feels a great burden lifted from their shoulders! We al
knew that in God's good time it would be lifted--the question was
"How long O Lord!"
As I have experienced in my own life, so many times--when I have
asked for relief, the answer was "Wait and see the salvation of the
Lord." He has relieved me after the test of faith.
