1
n your August
1974
issue. you printed an article on
' 'Abortion. Progress or Murder?" by
Gordon Muir. M.D. Bcing a girl.
1
can
understand where there may be circum–
stances in which a woman may fccl she
s hould have an abortion. But
1
can't under–
stand how womcn can nctually go through
with some tbing so distastcful and immoral!
1
was actuallyshocked by thc numbers Dr.
Muir stated of abortions that have taken
place! Yet. what
1
found evcn more unbe–
lievable was how teen-agers are having
abonions in incrcasing numbers.
In my opinion. abonion

murdcr. The
permissive society is geuing so pcrmissive
that it is disgusting and from your magazine
1
can see it is not only hcre. but all over the
world. ls old-fashioncd dccency and the
purposes God intendcd for marríagc really
gone out of date?

J
enjoy your magazine. Truth nowadays
is as hard
10
find as a gold mine. and your
ideas are cxciting to read - they make you
think. Today that's one thing people have
seemingly forgo11en. They eat the soup but
don't taste the vegetables. Keep putting the
meat in the soup now and then.

havc bccn in receipt of the
Plain Truth
for some 3 years and have received from it
only dismal news about man, his environ–
ment. his politics and h.is belief in God
aside from your view of God ....
1
prefer to wait until God does come and
hear it firsthand what we are supposed to
know concerning him and our worship of
him.
We all basically agree that we don't get
the truth about man from history and the
current news releascs so how can we expect
this "word of God' ' to be so accurate after
hundreds of translations, views and opin–
ions bave undermined it?
1
still will cnjoy readíng the
Plain Truth
as
J
will any magazine that deals with the
issues at hand. but far be it for me to con–
demo any man for not accepting what has
not been proven to be the .eJain truth.
When a man can do this. he wall in fact be
that God we've bcen so desperately looking
for who willlead us out of the plain Iic.
