Talk Back to Your Television Set
Television is now of "age"! Full frontal nudity, ul–
traviolence, and such once-taboo subjects as male and
female homosexuality, adultery, unmarried couples in
bed together, wife-swapping, and abortion have already
made their debut on television. What's next?
[f you disapprove of these recent trends in televi–
sion programming. there is something more you can do
than just turning off you r television set o r switch sta–
tions. Nicholas Johnson, a member of the United States
Federal Communications Commission, says, "Express
your views. Write the stations, the networks, advertisers,
the FCC [Federal Communications Commission). De–
velop specific suggestions about programs you would
like to see- or have taken off the air - o r othe r specific
suggestions for station management." All nations have
simila r government regulatory bodies.
As an individual or parent, what you allow to come
into your living room is your responsibility.

a nd a family, who drink socially, occasionally drinking
one too many.
How then can one know if he may have a drinking
problem?

The principie for being the master and not the
mastered (in this case the alcoholic). is to be "temperate
in all things," as the Biblical injunction admonishes in
