Scholarship Program.
In addition, we look at Y.O.U. involvement--offices
he1ci
,-
number of times SEP attended, talent and athletic contest involvenent,
Y.O.U. National Conference attendees, etc.
In all of these programs, one of the most important considerations is the
ministerial evaluation. Your input is often the deciding factor on schol&r
ship awards, as it is on college acceptance. Please do not feel this paper
work is a waste of time. We rely on it heavily.
Thank you for the work you are doing to prepare the youth Ior college. If
you have any questions about scholarship programs please call me at (213)

PLA:;::.-.J TRUTH PROMOTIONAL TESTS BEING CONDUCTED
Sunday, July 1st, we began a new venture. This is a series of promotional
tests to increase the circulation of the Plain Truth. A new idea for pro
motion here in te U.S. is the use of the Sunday newspaper advertising in
serts. We have designed an attractive full color brochure which is aimed
at getting the Sunday mornir..g bacon and eggs crowd to subscribe to the Plain
Truth. We are running our first tests in the Sacramento Union and the San
Diego Union. We have high hopes that it will prove to be as effective for
us as it is with other commercial magazines. I'll let you know when the
results come in.
