Today, with the Work's rapid growth, volunteers continue to play a vital role
in helping us to keep pace in Mail Processing. The WATS lines, presently
handling an annual response rate increase of 100 percent, have been served by
the greatest number of volunteers in the following ways:
• Sabbath/Holy Day Volunteers:
More than 2,000 brethren
presently serve the WATS lines on the Sabbath and Holy Day
crews. Volunteer Church members have answered over 700,000
calls.
• WATS In-Home Program: Nearly 3,000 volunteers assist in
the WATS In-Home Program. So far, 170,000 calls have been
taken by this group.
• Ambassador College Students:
The AC student body is
scheduled throughout the year on a rotating basis to come
in on Sabbath mornings and take calls.
• Ministers on Refreshing Program: Scores of ministers (and
their wives> on the Ministerial Refreshing Program answer
calls each year.
Third Tithe Blessings Many members have just completed their third tithe
year at the Feast of Tabernacles. We have received many letters from them
telling us of God's blessings.
Following are some of their inspiring
accounts:
This is our third tithe year and I wanted to share some of the
blessings God has given us. Going into this year, my husband
and I had a lot of financial problems. But starting this June,
God provided my husband with a better paying job than he has
ever had. In August, God also gave me a job as a teacher's aide
in the school our children attend. Then the secretary of the
school-asked if we would be interested in moving onto a 100-acre
farm with a beautiful home--rent freell All that was required
of us would be to feed a few cattle once a day and mow the lawn.
As
you can see, this third tithe year has actually been the most
prosperous year of our life!

Just a little note to say I'm a single parent making a moderate
income. Until this past year I was on third tithe assistance.
I went off assistance last year, and my own third tithe year
began.
This -year bas been an amazing and unexplainable
experience. There is no way to figure out what has happened,
but I now have half again as much money and material blessings
as I had this time last year when I was on assistance myself!
