PASTOR GENERAL'S REPORT, JULY 27, 1984
I'm sorry that I
1
m so late in renewing The PLAIN TRUTH. I've been
quite ill and in two different hospitals. I'm feeling better now
but am slow mentally. My next door neighbor takes good care of me
and reads The PLAIN
TRUTH
to me. We both enjoy it! Thank you.
E.C. {Jeffersonville, IN)
Thank you very much for The PLAIN TRUTH. I am 71 years old, and
suffering with arthritis, high blood pressure and a failing
heart, so
I
can't get out very much. Your program on Sundays is
my church. Your magazines and books are my comfort. God bless
you.
I
pray for you every day.
J.K. (Brighton, MI)
My husband and
I
never miss your program. You are tops with the
Word of Godr we love your teachings. My husband has been crip
pled since birth so your program means so much to him.
Mr. & Mrs. A.S. {Tuckasegee,
NC)
Many thanks for the renewal subscription of that wonderful maga
zine The PLAIN TRUTH. I read it from cover to cover every month
and it is one bright spot in these ten years
I
have spent here at
the V.A. Medical Center.
I
always share it with a number of others, on the condition that
it be returned to me as
I
enjoy rereading it, especially Mr. Arm
strong's "Personal" column. That is always a highlight in inter
est and edification. Most sincere thanks for the splendid maga
zine and the many booklets you have been so kind and gracious to
send me and my fellow outpatients.
W.G. (Telford, TN)
I have been hospitalized and am mostly a shut-in. It is very hard
to believe that any organization could care so much as to send
such a wonderful publication free of charge. I'm a 68-year-old
widow living on Social Security.
I
1
m deaf and reading material
is very important to me.
I
1
m also a Christian and desire your
prayers.
I
have found that you do not have to hear through ears
to feel the presence of God or to feel the music within one's
heart.
L.C. (Gadsden, AL)
As a blind person,
I
don't have access to many of the helps and
Bible study aids available to others.
(I
am lucky to have a
Braille Bible.)
I
must depend very heavily on repetitive learn
ing. Through the tapes sent out by you,
I
have read and reread
all of the basic articles put out by the Church.
I
have found that this repetition has grounded me in the scrip
tures in such a way that it would be hard to shake me loose. I'm
not saying
I
couldn
t
t be shaken loose, but I feel that repetition
will make that process more difficult.
Besides, God repeats
things and if it's good enough for Him, it's definitely good
enough for me!
