slight twist. As the application was made through Southam Murray (our new
printer in Toronto), we can only use the interim privilege if we mail from
there. So, the next two issues, July/August and September (the last to be
printed by Lawson Graphics in Winnipeg), will be trucked from Lawson
Graphics to Southam's for mailing. We certainly appreciate the efforts of
Mr. Bert Burbach, local church elder in Toronto, who has helped immensely
in this matter.
The direct mail campaign has kept the mail count high:
Total incoming mail
Total outgoing mail
62,174
99,647
(+55.1%)
(-6.5%)
Because of these large numbers, extra part-time staff has been brought on
to help catch up with the backlog.
Appreciation for Ministerial Refreshing Program III
Dear Mr. Tkach:
My wife and I would like to sincerely thank Mr. Armstrong and
Ministerial Services for the privilege of attending Refresher
III. It is certainly true when I say that these sessions get
better all the time. The in-depth material we received will keep
us busy with studies and sermons for many months to come. We
especially appreciate the material relating to family, our young
people, and music. Of course, Mr. Armstrong's presentation was a
highlight.
Mr. Armstrong has always said that if we please God, then He will
bless the Work. To see just how much the work of God's Church has
expanded since Refresher I proves the point.
One does feel a
particular pride in wearing that beautiful lapel pin--to know we
work with the best publication on earth today. It boggles the
mind to think what God has in mind for future growth.
Thanks for the hospitality and the seivice for the visiting mini
sters. We especially appreciate it considering the many chal
lenges and duties that face Mr. Armstrong and his staff. Be as
sured that we pray daily that God will continue to guide and
strengthen all of you. Like we say about the feast--it was the
best ever!

Dear Mr. Tkach:
Margaret and I wish to thank you and the other staff members for
organizing and presenting the new Refreshing Programme.
Lec
turing to ministers must be difficult, yet we received spiritual
knowledge and information that refreshed our minds, stimulated
ideas and confirmed our faith. We are grateful for the time and
effort required to make these lectures possible.
Just being at Headquarters to imbibe the atmosphere and enjoy the
beautiful college grounds is an uplifting experience. And to see
old friends again after many years was an added blessing. We
thank you and Mr. Armstrong for the opportunity to attend.
