PASTOR GENERAL'S REPORT, NOVEMBER 2, 1981
PAGE 11
Before the closure of the college, the gymnasium/auditorium was completely
remodeled, serving both the church and college well. This· fine facility
was used for many local church activities and national YOU programs over
the past four years. The auditorium will seat 2500 in air-conditioned com
fort. Some of you who attended college in Big Sandy in earlier years would
really appreciate this. Just before the Feast, we had the gym floor re
surfaced so it would be ready for the basketball season.
The library has finally been unboxed and is pretty much up and in full oper
ation. You may remember the Big Sandy library at one time was almost sent
to Japan.
Fortunately, that did not work out and we only had to unbox,
uncrate, assemble shelves and spend six months getting the cataloging back
in shape. The bookstore and student lounge are also back in full swing.
While I think of it, we would like to have as many ministers as possible
visit the college, if the opportunity arises. I'm sure the Big Sandy alumni
would especially like to come by. Perhaps if your route can bring you by on
the way to or from the next Ministerial Refresher Program, or if you have a
few days during the summer to come by, you might enjoy a side trip to Big
Sandy. We are maintaining a guest house and a guest trailer on the campus
for visitors and we want to extend an invitation to you to be our guests.
If for some reason these are not available, many of you have friends who are
faculty members or who live near the campus, so I'm sure you can find a
place to stay. We will do all we can to give you a Texas-size welcome.
This coming year the Big Sandy campus will be handling its own admissions
program. Of course, both campuses will very closely coordinate enrollment
and student acceptances. During the year we will be keeping you informed of
the programs available at each campus so you can help young people in your
church area prepare for Ambassador College.
All of us on the staff at both campuses are more excited than ever at what
Ambassador has to offer and look forward to serving the families and young
people of God's Church in the coming years.

FROM MINISTERIAL SERVICES
Appreciation for the Ministerial Refresher Program
Dear Mr. Armstrong:
My wife Pat and I would like to thank you for the tremendous BLESSING
of being able to attend the 15th session of the refresher program.
Humanly, one would have thought that after fourteen rounds of present
ing this program that the refresher staff would have tired and jaded a
bit coming to the final 15th round. However,- human strength was ob
viously NOT the POWER generating this refresher.
So many wonderful
comments have been made concerning the program that all we can do is to
echo those positive and inspiring remarks. one thing we would like to
add is that God's SPIRIT was obviously the FUEL that fired the re
fresher.
After attending, we can certainly see why Jesus Christ inspired you to
start the program. I for one was really moved by the unity, loyalty,
conversion and dedication of ALL the men you have chosen to conduct
