PASTOR GENERAL'S REPORT, SEPTEMBER 18, 1981
PAGE 10
We've now received well over 9,000 responses to our series of newspaper
fliers offering new subscriptions to The PLAIN TRUTH.
Recent weeks have also brought a noticeable increase in the number of re
quests for new visits. Church attendance is running at an increase of 5.7%
over last year, and Bible Study attendance is up by a very fine 45.1%.
Appreciation for the Ministerial Refresher Program
Dear Mr. Armstrong:
Thank you for the opportunity you gave us to attend the 13th session of
the Ministerial Refresher Program. As our Regional Director, Mr. Guy
L. Ames stated, we need it and it's really indispensable as expressed
previously by another Philippine minister.

Dear Mr. Tkach:
It certainly was a privilege to be able to come in for the 13th Minis
terial Refresher Program and to finally be able to meet you and so many
other evangelists and support personnel at Pasadena.
This was my first refresher program or conference of any kind. I had
heard some real horror stories from past conferences! Such was not the
case with the present refresher program. It was so encoutaging to per
sonally hear from yourself, Mr. LaRavia, Dr. Hoeh, Mr. Helge and others
--who up until now were only names that I had heard over and over--as
well as the many men who had taught me in Big Sandy.
The entire refresher program helped to build a firm foundation as I be
gin now full time in the ministry. You in Pasadena certainly set a good
and right example of "being 1ittle in your own eyes," and of being
faithful to your calling into Christ's ministry. Thanks again to all
of you who faithfully taught us those things Christ is teaching His
Church through His chosen apostle!

Dear Mr. Tkach:
Time has flown since my wife and I attended the 13th refresher pro
gramme, but it has not dimmed the memory of three stimulating and re
warding weeks. Having never been to Ambassador College it was a real
thrill for both of us to be able to listen to you and the team expound
the basics, and then, to top it off, have Mr. Armstrong speak to all of
us at one of the sessions.
