PASTOR GENERAL'S REPORT, AUGUST 7, 1981
PAGE 8
CLARKSBURG, WV--DAVID M. JOHNSON:
We really appreciated Mr. Arm
strong's last sermon tape. He really sounds great and like he is really
on top of things. The new telecasts are exceptional. Three of our four
local church elders have been able to attend the Ministerial Refresher
Program and they all came back enthused and deeply grateful for the
opportunity to take part in it.
BALTIMORE, MD--ROY DEMAREST:
Several people have been seeking rein
statement who left church years ago. Good steady flow of PM's last two
months. Mr. Armstrong's telecasts are bringing good responses.
CHATTANOOGA-COPPERHILL, TN--WILLIAM C. COWAN, JR.: It is evident that
God is pouring out His Holy Spirit in the area. We are having more
spiritual depth and growth than I have ever witnessed before. There
seems to be a JOY and PEACE over all of God's people here. Definitely a
renewed spirit of unity and harmony, and it is exciting! I feel that
the PM's are more receptive as a whole. I really cannot pinpoint where
the information is coming from to them except via the PT, for we vir
tually don't have any telecast or broadcast coverage in these areas.
KINGSPORT, TN--GEORGE ELKINS: We are all thrilled with the opportunity
of seeing and hearing from Mr. Armstrong in person! I know this will be
a TREMENDOUS boost and blessing to all the brethren in this area! God
is truly pouring out His blessings on us by giving His apostle the power
and strength to make so many trips to the outlying church areas! GOD
SPEED!
COLUMBUS (AM), OH--ROBERT DICK:
Mr. Armstrong's visit to Cincinnati
was highly appreciated by everyone from elders to new members!
His
fatherly approach, his concern and relentless preaching of God's Word
inspires all.
PARKERSBURG, WV--STEVE BOTHA: Very high percentage of people went to
Cincinnati to see and hear Mr. Armstrong. The response was superb and
the event proved to be a wonderfully inspiring event.
NORFOLK, VA--DANIEL C. HALL:
Everyone seems positive and actively
studying the many helpful articles in the PT and GN. PM activity is
constant. However, new people are very cautious and are proving the
truth before attending. Some prospectives of several months ago are
now attending regularly.
SOMERSET, KY--MEL DAHLGREN: The PT newsstand program is growing even
faster now. More want to be involved. These cardboard boxes should
open a whole new dimension of personal involvement for the brethren.
