FROM MINISTERIAL SERVICES
Local Church Elders Not Required to Pay Third Tithe
It has recently been brought to our attention that many local church elders
are unaware of the Church's decision that they are not required to pay third
tithe. Mr. Armstrong made this decision many years ago and it had become
so accepted as common knowledge that we have neglected to continually
inform the new elders of it. This statement should remedy that situation.
Guidebook for Church Libraries Now Available
The "Guidebook For Church Libraries" that was produced and distributed last
year by Luren Dickinson of the Ambassador College Library, has now been
reprinted and is available through the ministerial supply system. Along
with other helpful tips on how to run a local church library, it gives a
reference list of books that you may want to have in your church library.
International News
Dutch News Greetings from The Netherlands. The highlight of the month of
April were the Days of Unleavened Bread. Combined services were held on the
Sabbath before the first holy day, as well as on the two holy days of
Unleavened Bread, in a comfortable hall in a beautiful country setting
outside the city of Utrecht.
Offerings for the first and last day of
Unleavened Bread showed a 30% and 73% increase over last year.
