Second Tithe Assistance

All member second tithe assistance requests should be handled through the
local pastors before the Feast of Tabernacles. Members should not go to
the feast without sufficient funds expecting assistance at the festival
site. Only limited funds for genuine emergencies will be available at
festival locations, and then only with the local pastor's recommendation.

AMBASSADOR COLLEGE UPDATE
This has been a very busy summer for many of the faculty of Ambassador.
Some members have been serving S.E.P. at Orr, and others have been teaching
summer classes, or classes in Continuing Education here in Pasadena.
This Sunday, August 17th, there will be a Faculty Meeting, followed by a
Faculty Dinner. The following Monday (18th) Orientation Week will begin
for all of the students. It looks like we will have one of the best
freshmen classes we have ever had. Total enrollment is expected to reach
just under 500--with 450 resident students. The others are either married
students, or are local students living with their parents at home.

Also, just a few weeks ago, twelve (mostly students) were sent to Thailand
to serve a six-month period as teachers of English and Western culture to
the refugees now living in Thailand. Mr. John Halford will soon return
from Thailand where he has been working with the students to make sure
they are properly supervised, provided for, etc. He recently reported
that all is going well with the students on the Thai Expedition.
