Does the following
ancient ex perience
sou nd like what you
face? "Ye have sown
much, and bring in
little; ye eat, but ye
have not enough; ye
drink, but ye are not
filled with drink; ye
clothe you, but there
is none warm; and he
that earneth wages,
earneth wages to put it into a
bag
with holes
[inflation)."
This apt description comes from
a business source you wouldn't
expect: the
Bible.

Haggai 1:6.

with the ravages of inflation and
its opposite, massive
recession. As th e

prices blows across
the nations, ever y
facet of our lives is
affected. We can 't
bu y a ll th e things
we want. We have a
harder time making
ends meet.
Inflation must be
cooled down . Bu t
how?
Walk into a public

tion. You' ll find vol–
ume after thick vol–
ume promoting this
theory and that theo–
ry t o slow rising
prices.

realize that this mala–
dy is a problem

of years old.
As long as thc

res ign ourselves to it and say.
"T hat's not too bad." Bu t, if sud–
denly inflation blasts through the
roof, we start pointing fingers at
others. "Somebody's got to do
something!" And so we look to
people with power - to isolate
the source of inflation and stop
