1
am writing mainly to suggcst that
you or someone on your editorial staff
write an article for
The Plain Truth
magazine on the subject of crime and
violence. This subject would also be
appropriate fora future "World Tomor–
row" telecast or radio broadcast.

1
am receiving your magazine for
more than
20
years. Although
1
am
not a subscriber to your basic philos–
ophies,
1
not only want to express my
thanks, to be on your mailing list, but
also wish to tell you that
J
tremen–
dously enjoy reading it. Since 1 am
very much interested in foreign poli–
cíes, 1 have learned a lot from your
writings, but it has also contributed
to my spiritual awareness. l t should
also be recognized that you are prob–
ably the only publisher with free sub–
scriptions of such a high standard and
sophisticated magazine.

1 agree with you on your viewpoint
about American television shows and
movies being taken the wrong way by
people in other countries.
When 1was ten years old nine out of

1 enjoyed Mr. Armstrong's " Per–
sonal" as it strikes a positive
~ote,
talking about the invisible law of
"GIVE,"
as opposed to the material–
istic
"GET."

Russl a In Prophecy
1 would like to compliment Mr .
10
Armstrong very highly for his inspir–
ing article "Russia in Prophecy."
For the last few years
1
had been
trying to figure out where to place
the prophecy of Ezekiel 39 into the
prophetic puzzle concerning the U.S.
and Britain.

Silent Holocaust
1
read your article on the "Silent
Holocaust."
1
learned more on abor–
tions from that one article than

ever known before.

1
would like to thank you for the "Si–
lent Holocaust." To think that before 1
read your article 1 supported abortion.
Now 1 am 8Vl months pregnant and
every time 1 feel my baby move in my
womb, l feel the greatest of joys. It
always brings me back to your article
and tears appear in my eyes.

After reading your sad but true
article on abortion and then the poem
on an "unborn child," 1 felt l had to
relate an experience in my life.
About 2Vl years ago while still tak–
ing birth control pi lis, 1found out 1was
expecting our second child. My doctor
was very concerned, telling me "the
Pill" has been known to cause kidney
and urinary problems in babies whose
mother was taking the pill , when they
were conceived.
She even suggested an abortion to
avoid any such problems. 1think I may
haveconsidered it five years ago before
1 was shown the truth . 1 could have
eased myconscience by saying the doc–
tor recommended it and 1could always
have another baby later.
I put my faith in God, 1 knew God
wouldn't give me any more than 1
could handle. I prayed my baby
would not be born with a serious
problem. My pregnancy went fairly
normal although
1
was more uncom–
fortable than the first time.
When
1
was brought into the delivery
room of my local hospital, my husband
was by my side holding my hand. That is
when my daughter Hillary was born.
Rigbt after her birth the doctor's face
went white, he was in a state of shock
almost.
M
y husband felt faint and asked
for a chair,
1
started to cry when
1
was
told Hillary was a twin, her sister Har–
monywas going to be born any minute.
1
certainly did have a complication,
1
was
now the mother ofa beautiful set of twin
girls. They were a complete surprise to
us all.
As for the doctor who suggested
the abortion, she stops to admire my
children every time she sees me walk–
ing down the street with them. I'm
sure she never thinks of h'er advice
which 1 never took!

That was a very good article on the
connection between drugs used
casually and a serious accident. l read
it to my six children and hope it will
help them to real ize tbe seriousness
of what could happen.

1 enjoy reading
The Plaín Truth .
The articles are illuminating, enjoy–
able and, although 1 don't always
agree with their context, helpful.
The
Plain Truth
has helped me mostly, [
believe, to become a little more au–
tonomous in my own personal deci–
sion making. 1 was formerly at the
merey of this and that diet , philoso–
phy, religion and what have you.
Now l'm making more of my own
