Church commission could not be
performed in today's world.
Without the fervent and pre–
vailing continua! prayers of all
members the Work could not be
accomplished. Without the con–
tinua! ENCOURAGEMENT of lay
members and those over them
locally those of us operating from
headquarters could not bear up
under the persecutions, opposi–
tions, trials and frust rations.
Also in reverse, the lay mem–
bers need just as urgcntly the
encouragement, teaching, coun–
seling and leadershi p from head–
quarters and local pas tors.
An example of the former:
I
receive frequently largc cards–
often bea utifully illustrated or
decorated - s ig ned by the
hu ndreds of local members of
churches, giving encouragement
and assurances of loyalty, backing
and support. Lay members scat–
tered over the world simply can–
not conceive full y how much
encouragement and inspiration
this gives the one Chris t has chos–
en to lead this tremendous world–
wide activity , Cod's C HURCH!
The assurance of thc earnest
PRAYERS crying out to Cod con–
t inually from these thousands
from all par ts of the earth inspire
the confidence of FAITH to perse–
vere in the direction and over–
sight in this great Work!
Specifi call y, HOW is Cod 's
Church organized today-HOW
does it opcrate in this modern late
20th century?
Christ 's Cospel message-the
Kingdom of Cod-goes out in
dynamic POWER by radio
~orld
wide, by television nationwide,
and by the mass-circulation mag–
azine,
The Plain Truth.
This
unique magazine of more than
two million copies monthly,
in
five languages, is full color, effec–
tively and interestingly carrying
Christ 's Cospel. T hen, sent free
on request are mi ll ions of copies
of attractive booklets and even
full books. And now, to reach a
class unreachable by other means,
quality hard -cover books are
appearing in bookstores. Recently
a campaign of dynamic full-page
messages are appearing as adver–
tisements in leading newspapers,

Christ's apost le sends out month-
This entire great

the sheep'- is a
combined administration
and function of the
Church.
' '
ly a mimeographed Co-Worker
Letter to all members and co–
workers reporting on progress in
the Work, current activities and
needs.
And we must not overlook a
very important department , the
Bible Correspondence Course,
sent free on enrollment to lay
members, and the public, giving
month l y lessons in-depth of
basic subjec ts covered by the
Bible.
All this is a well-organ ized
operat ion carrying out the PUR–
POSE of the C hurch, 1) proclaim–
ing the comi ng Kingdom of Cod
to the world, and 2) feeding the
ftock .
The author's personal travels to
all parts ·of the world carrying
Christ's message personally be–
fo re kings, emperors, presidents,
prime mini s ters and leaders
under them in numerous nations
perhaps ought to be mentioned.
Thus Goo's GREAT PURPOSE
FOR HlS CHURCH IS BEING VIG–
OROUSLY CARRIED OUT THROUGH
TH E PRESENT " PHILADELPHIA
ERA" OF THE C HURCH.
There is bu t o E true Chu rch.
None ot her carries out the pur–
poscs an d fu nctions of the
CHURCH of the living Cod.
The "loner"- the "individual
Christian," who wants to climb
up into the Kingdom sorne other
way than by CHRIST and HIS wAY
through Hi s CHURCH- is not
being trained in CHRIST'S MAN–
NER OF TRAINING,

Now what abou t the "private," or
"individual Christ ian," who says,
" 1 don' t want to be a part of the
Church- 1 want to seek my sal–
vation direct an d alone with
Christ. "
The answer is this: God Him–
self laid out the plan and the
method by which humans may
be, after begcttal, trained and
prepared to become part of the
Divine Personnel of born Coo
BEINGS that shall form the KI NG–
DOM OF Goo!
The Kingdom of Cod will be
the Goo FAMILY- a superbl y and
hi ghl y t rained and organi zed
Family of Goo BEINGS, well
ORGANIZED on Coo's pattern of
mutual teamwork and coopera–
tion to fu nc tion perfectly to–
gether. T hey shall become the
Coo FAMILY. Remember God
!S
that Divine FAMILY!
One who says: " 1 willlive alone
by myself in thi s wo rld of
Satan's- 1 will be NO PART of the
FAMILY" is, therefore NOT trained
and developed in spiritual charac–
ter according to Coo's pattern.
Such can never FIT IN as a PART
of the FAMILY
then,
if not t rained
and developed with the Family,
the CHURCH, now.
Take an analogy from Satan's
world . A football player at Oh io
