AMERICA
(Continued from page 4)
nations! Not only has He blessed
us with material wealth and
national greatness unmatched.
but He has blessed us with His
TRUTH whicb our nations have
spurned. We have made atheistic
evolution the very foundation of
our educational system, in which
we have reared our children.
Hundreds upon hundreds of our
cburches have idols that are
adored. We Americans took our
land away from the lndians a nd
treated them unfairly. Our sins
are 'monumental!
In chapter 6:6-8, a continua–
tion of the above, "In all your
dwelling places [different coun–
tries to which they shall have
emigrated by the 20th century]
THE CITIES SHALL BE LAID
w
ASTE .. . and the slain shall fall
in the midst of you, and YE SHALL
KNOW THAT 1 AM THE LORD. Yet
will 1 leave a remnant, tbat ye
may have sorne that shall escape
the sword among the nations
when ye sha ll be scattered
through the countries."
The phrase "YE SHALL KNOW
THAT
J
AM THE LORD" is fre–
quently used by Ezekiel, desig–
nating Christ's Second Comíng
in GLORY a nd POWER! Tbis great
calamity foretold by Ezekiel ac–
tually shall begin in the "GREAT
TRIBULATION" but
Will
continue
through t h e "DAY OF THE
LoRó"- the time of God's "Fu–
RY" mentioned earlier, and until
Christ's coming i n SUPREME
POWER lO RULE!
Ezekiel definitely pin-points
this prophecy to "the HOUSE OF
lSRAEL"- which is 20th-century
United States and the British
nations-later in this 6th chap–
ter:
"And they shall know that 1
am the LORD, and that
1
have not
said in vain that 1 would do this
evil unto them. Thus saith the
Lord God, smite with thíne hand,
and stamp with 'thy foot, and say,
Alas for all the evil abominations
d. -
of the house of Israel! For they
SHALL FALL BY THE SWORD, BY
THE FAMINE, ANO BY THE PESTI-
42
LENCE ... thus will
l
accomplish
my FURY upon them. Then sball
ye know that 1 am the
LORD! ..." (verses 10-13).
Again 1 repeat, "they shall
know that
1
am the LORD" is a
phrase Ezekiel uses continually to
designate the Second Coming of
Christ, when they wíll
KNOW
that He is LORD! Also tbís
removes all doubt that th is
prophecy pertains to the Lost Ten
Tribes of THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL
who, today are the United States
and Brítish natíons!
The identity of WHO is to be
involved, a nd of the TIME of the
prophecy, ís made doubly sure.
It
shall begin with the "GREAT
TRIBULATION," and carry On
through the "DAY OF THE LORD"
right up to the time of Christ's
Second Coming. Jeremia h 30
makes this even more certain.
A Time o f Unparalle led
Tribulat ion
Ezekiel gives a preview of
what
will happen to "lost" 10-tribed
Israel. Mattbew gives a general
description of its enormous sever–
ity . Here Jesus Himself is
quoted.
Jesus said the sign by which we
may know when the end of this
present world and the coming of
Christ is NEAR, is that "this Gos–
pel of the Kingdom shall be
preached in all the world for a
witness unto all nations, and
then
shall the end come" (Matthew
24: 14), and then on the heels of
that, "there shall be great tribu–
lation, such as was not since the
beginning of the world to this
time, no, nor ever shall be. And
except those days should be
shortened, there should no flesh
be saved [alive]; but for the
elect's sake those days shall be
shortened" (verses 21-22).
Mark 13 and Luke 21 speak of
the same.
Now notice Daniel's prophecy
of the same GREAT TRIBULATION:
"And at that time shall Michael
stand up, the great prince which
standeth for the children of thy
people: and there shall be a TIME
OF TROUBLE,
such as never was
since there was a nation even to
that same time: and at that time
thy people sha/1 be delivered
every one that shall be found
written in the book; and many of
them that sleep in the dust of the
earth shall awake, sorne to ever–
lasting life" ... (Daniel 12:1-2).
Daniel shows WHEN it shall
occur- just before the resu r–
rection and Christ's return.
Now notice Jeremiah's proph–
ecy of the same event. Begin in
Jeremíah 30, verse 5: "For thus
saith the LORD, We have heard
a voice of trembling, of fear,
and not of peace. Ask ye now,
and see whether a man doth
travai l with child? Wherefore do
1 see every man with his hands
on his loins, as a woman in
travail, and all faces turned into
paleness? Alas for that day is
great
so that none is like
it:
it is
even the time of J acob's t rou–
ble...." (This tells upon which
nations the GREAT TRIBULATION
will fall pr imarily.) The Uníted
States a nd t be British are, pr i–
mar ily, 20th-centu ry "Jacob."
(See ou r book,
United States
and Britain in Prophecy.)
Now remember Ezekiel shows
that our nations-the third re–
maining alive- shall he scat–
tered- driven away . from our
own lands. I said we shall become
SLAVES in enemy nations. Jere–
miab now brings out
this
fact.
Continue:
' '... yet he [Jacob] shall be
saved out of it. And it shall come
to pass in that day, saith the Lord
of Hosts, that
l
will break the
yoke [of slavery] from off their
neck, and I will burst their bonds,
and strangers shall no more make
servants of them, But they [rem–
nant of U.S.-Britisb peoples]
shall serve the Lord their God,
and David their king, whom [
shall raise up [from the dead] for
them" (verses 7-8, Revised Stan–
dard Version).
Later, Jeremiah adds, "ALL
thy lovers [allies-other allied
nations] have forgotten tbee; they
seek thee not; for
J
have wounded
thee with the wound of an enemy,
with the chastisement of a cruel
one, for the multitude of thine
iniquity; because thy sins were
increased . ... Therefore all they
that devour thee shall be de-
