more than 42 centuries ago. At the
tower of Babel humanity pooled its
resources and tried for the first
time on record to reach into the
heavens. Humankind started with a
tower. Humans would have equaled
today's technology long ago had
God not slowed them down by
dividing them, confusing their lan–
guage and scattering them over the
face of the earth (Gen. 11 :1-8).
God said at that time: "Behold,
they are one people, and they have
all one language; and this is only
the beginning of what they will do;
and
nolhing lhat they propose

do will now be impossible for
them"
(verse 6, Revised Standard
Version).
That is a remarkable statement
concerning what humans worki ng
together can accomplish. T his atti–
tude pervades human thinking.
Nothing, it seems, is impossible for
man. 1f given the chance, time,
money and resources, he can do
anything.
1f given the chance, man wi ll
use space for weapons. Man now
has that chance. One can only

fund- raising campaigns- no politi–
cal conventions. No politics, pulling
the wool over the eyes of the people
in the struggle for POWER!
No wars. No crime. No more
broken families. No bospitals, for
people wi ll be divinely healed.
Why the BIG DIFFERENCE, THEN?
The present world, though the
world of humans doesn't realize it, is
actually swayed and RULED by the
invisible Satan- the former Lucifer
who originally sat on the THRONE of
the whole earth.
Backtrack a second, to the original
Adam and Eve. In the Garden of
Eden were the two symbolic trees–
one the "tree of LJFE" symbolizing
the Holy Spirit of God and gift of
eternal life. The other, the tree of
"the knowledge of good and evi l,"
and this knowledge they- for all
hurnanity- took
lo lhemselves.
Just one super-significant thing
was wrong with that. They did not
real ize-and mankind does not know
today- that man was made with a
"human" spirit inside hirn. This spir–
it, not present in animals or any other

wonder what part yet undreamed–
of space warfare technology and

There is hope. Humankind is not
doomed to self-destruction .
"If
those days had not been cut short,
no one would survive," Jesus Christ
said 1,900 years ago, " but for the
sake of the elect those days will be
s hortened" (Matt. 24:22, New
lnternational Version).
God will intervene in human
affairs by sending his Son Jesus
Christ to forcibly stop humanity at
t he 1ast possi ble moment from
destroying 1ife on earth. Jesus will
return with power and g lory to
reestablish the very government of
God over all nations and peoples
(Dan. 2:44-45).
physical life forrn , irnparts the power
of intellect to the human brain. But
man's KNOWLEDGE is confined to the
physical and material.
Man's PROBLEMS, troubles, evi ls,
are al l SPIRITUAL in nature. Man was
made to NEED a SECONO SPIRIT- the
HoLYSPIRIT OF Goo. This was free–
ly offered that first Adam. But he
rejected it- rejected Goo's Gov–
ERNMENT and God's revealed spiri–
tuaJ knowledge. All humans have
been boro with only a human spirit,
limiting human knowlcdge to the
physical and material. Man, withou t
the Holy Spirit of God, is NOT MEN–
TALLY COMPLETE- actually "NOT
ALL THERE." Human consciousness
is limited to the physicaJ and materi–
al, yet aJI his problems are SPI RJTUAL
and beyond his comprehension!
NOT ONLY THIS!
Satan the d evi l is REAL-he
exists-he is SUPER POWERFUL–
and he is "the PRINCE OF THE POWER
OF THE AIR" (Eph. 2:2). HE BROAD–
CASTS! He surcharges the air with
HIS ATTITUDE of selfishness, vanity,
lust for power and greed, envy and
jealousy, competition and st r ife,
rebellion against Goo!

He will descend from heaven
through the very outer space rnen

Wrapped in the clouds, he will
come to punish the nations that
have dared to use thei r scientific
arsenals for war (Matt. 24:27, 29-
31; Rev. 1:7) .
All weapons building or deploy–
me nt- inc luding those space
based- will no 1onger be permit–
ted and those that exist will be
destroyed or reworked into imple–
ments of peace ( l sa. 2:2-4).
Finally, the world tomorrow–
that utopian paradise that humans
long for- will be ushered in. For

tual comprehension!), it is a matter
ofWHAT is
IN
HUMAN MINDS-what
from infancy Satan has been inject–
ing there- the SELF-CENTERED AT–
TITUDE- that of competition, get–
t ing the best of others, "GETTING"
instead of "GIVING"- TAKING FROM
OTHERS!
How different in the world tomor–
row. Salan will be gone! Jesus Christ
will be ruling! Ruling with, but
under him, will be truly converted
saints then made IMMORTAL-filled
with Goo's Spirit of "LOVE"–
irnrnortal Goo BEINGS with no SELF–
interest of coveting, but outAowing
LOVE for the good, happiness, wel–
fare and eterna) salvat ion of all
others!
J esus taught us to pray, "THY
KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE
ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN!"
We'd better be PRAYING!
