Dear Brethren,

For the comments this time, I am using the writing of one of our staff writers who has written his commentary on the relevance of what we are now seeing taking place in this country and world that tie in directly with the above Scriptures; while making known how close we are to the end of this present evil age (Galatians 1:4).

It is very important that we keep abreast of world happenings for time is running out and the curtain is rapidly dropping on this world’s stage.

"AND I WILL BREAK THE PRIDE OF YOUR POWER."

"And I will Break the pride of your power ..." (Leviticus 26:19).

The pride of America's power has been waning over a period of many years. One could say that it may have begun at the time we failed to win the Korean War. But few today, would realize that the election of Mr. Barack Obama, to the office of the Presidency of the United States, actually plays a MONUMENTAL ROLE in this ongoing prophecy from GOD ALMIGHTY.

And why would Mr. Obama figure into this prophecy?

He figures into this prophecy because he should not have been elected to the office of the Presidency of the United States - for God has expressly commanded that his people were to never choose a leader who was not of their people. Notice how it reads "... one from among thy brethren shall thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother" (Deuteronomy 17:15). The expression stranger comes from # 5237 in Strong's Concordance and it means foreigner or alien.

The question had been raised as to whether or not Mr. Obama was actually born in the United States. Some have contended that he was actually born in Kenya. God's Church is not into speculation and sensationalism, but notice the following from a Los Angeles Times article - titled: Alan Keyes stokes Obama birth certificate controversy:

The controversy over the validity of Barack Obama's birth certificate is back on a burner with firebrand conservative Alan Keyes making serious new charges.

In a video (see below) released Friday, Mr. Keyes, who lost to Obama in the 2004 U.S. Senate race in Illinois that launched the new president's national political career, calls Obama a communist and usurper and says he refuses to acknowledge the validity of Obama's inauguration over lingering questions in the minds of many conspiracists about the 44th president's birthplace.

The U.S. Constitution requires any president be born an American citizen.

In June, the Obama campaign released to The Ticket a copy of the then-senator's Hawaiian birth certificate (see the jump below and also here). But stubbornly persistent critics demand to see the original, which the state has refused to provide, citing personal privacy reasons.

And the critics, including Mr. Keyes explaining here, cite Mr. Obama’s relatives in Kenya as saying he was actually born there in his father's native land when his American mother was too young to pass on her U.S. citizenship.

In December, as The Ticket reported here, the Supreme Court dismissed without comment a New Jersey lawsuit seeking to bar Obama's inauguration due to questions over his actual citizenship. The Obama camp has proceeded normally as if there was no controversy."

Could Obama Cause the Downfall of the United States?

The election of Barack Obama is in direct violation of Deuteronomy 17:15, for God knows that if our people were to elect a stranger or foreigner to rule over them, it was not going to be for the good but rather to the detriment of the nation.

Already, Mr. Barack Obama has initiated polices and steps that are appearing to do more harm than good to the nation.

In his recent trip to Europe, Mr. Obama made charges to the Europeans that America has been "arrogant" and "dismissive" toward its allies. Nowhere did Mr. Obama seek to acknowledge the virtues of America in rescuing Europe from totalitarianism and fascism - as it did in World War II. It appeared that Mr. Obama had forgotten those Americans who had so bravely fought and died to give Europe the freedom it has today.

Also in Turkey, Mr. Obama made known that America does not consider it self a Christian nation “but a nation of US citizens."

It is true that America is not a Christian nation as God's Church understands Christianity, but Mr. Obama has failed to point out that though America is not perfect, this nation has been born and founded upon the Judeo-christian ethics, and that this country could not have been a great nation without those ethics. Mr. Obama's comment should fill this nation with indignation for his statement is not only an affront to the guiding principles and ideals that made this nation what it is, but also to the very memory of the founding fathers.

In his trip to Saudi Arabia, Mr. Obama bowed before the Saudi king. The White House denied that it was a bow.

Considering that America is now being made low and the foreigners are now rising up, this bow before the king may yet be symbolic of Americas decline and influence around the world. There is no denying that leaders must be respected, but considering that in their visit to the queen, neither Mr. nor Mrs. Obama bowed before the queen.

Is it possible that Mr. Obama was deliberate with whom he choose to bow?

Mr. Obama is an Appeaser

One does not have to be a political analyst or a Washington insider to see that Mr. Obama's trip to Europe - clearly shows that he is an appeaser that simply wishes to please those nations or leaders that does not necessarily have America's best interest at heart. Such a leader is not going to be able to effectively govern or guide this nation. Yes, Mr. Obama has high popularity ratings for now, but that could change as our economic woes increases.

Mr. Obama has already shown unwillingness to show the North Koreans we mean business. In defiance of the 2006 U.N. Security Council resolution which bars that country from ballistic missile related activities, North Korea, went ahead and launched a long ranged rocket.

The U.S. was fully aware that such a rocket would be launched; even before, Defense Secretary Gates made known on Fox News Sunday (March 29, 2009) that the United States was not going to do anything about the missile launch. During the interview he said: "I would say we are not prepared to do anything about it."

Mr. Gates could only have said what he said because he was aware that President Obama had made no decision to shoot down that missile. In a statement from the Czech Republic, Mr. Obama made the weak protest that that he was urging North Korea to abide by the 2006 U.M resolution; of course, that is history now. The North has ignored Mr. Obama and went ahead and fired their missile.

Mr. Obama's reaction is that the U.N. should handle this matter. Such prove that some vitally important aspect of American foreign policy is being given over to the U.N.

In his book, the United States and Britain in Prophecy, Mr. Armstrong wrote: "I remember hearing President Theodore Roosevelt tell of his pride in that power and - and how he used it when he was president. The Germans were sending a battleship steaming towards Manila Bay, threatening to take over the Philippines. ... President Roosevelt sent the Kaiser a terse note demanding that the German warship be immediately withdrawn. "The Kaiser didn't know, then, that I mean it." Snapped Mr. Roosevelt" (Page 160).

Yes, in time past we had leaders with the courage and the will to stand up to those who would harm America or its interest, but our people have drifted so far from God - the PRIDE of OUR POWER is now BROKEN and if allowed to continue, Mr. Obama is only going to make polices and institute actions (or inaction - for that matter) that is going to lead to the downfall of the United States; such shall surely be - for we have failed to HEED what GOD says.
