vast body of knowledge
accumulated over
billions of years awaits
access by mankind,
by any race that has
the technological
prowess to qualify
for it ... a priceless
resource of understanding
the universe. This body
of knowledge might
be termed our
galactic heritage."
Would participation in a
galactic community
enhance the spirit of
man? Or would contact
with other intelligent
lite do little other than
undermine the many
religions that have
focused on man as a
unique and special
creation of God?
Man 's rendezvous with
destiny may indeed
líe in his communication
with a superior being,
but the final contact
might be even more
remarkable than
we can now imagine.
