not the frail, petulant, effemlnate Jesus
whose image has adomed religious art
for centurias. A strong and vigorous
young man, Jesus of Nazareth worlled
for years as a carpenter before he ba–
gan hls mlnistry. His hair was not
espe–
cially long. He didn't wear a lortorn,
morosa expression. And he had no halo
shimmering mysteriousty over hi s head.
Unhappily, much of the character and
message of the real Jesus Christ has
been obscured by tradition, half-truth
