The word " gospel " means "good
news. " The message God sent was
news. lt was good news about a tre–

The message God sent was
Christ's gospel . Chrost h1rnself was
not the gospel . He was the messen–
ger God sent to eanh to announce

gospel of Jesus Christ .. after that

the kmgdom of God...
lt was a news announcement.
Jesus had just qualified. by with·
standing Satan (Mark 1: 13), to be
the king of the kingdom of God. and
to set up that kingdom The time
had been fulftlled. Jesus had JUSI
qual ified (verse 13). And so he an–
nounced (verses 14-1 5) that the
time was fulfilled, and the kingdom
of God was now at hand. The time
had come when he could announce

The function of government is to
rule over the people of its nation. to
maintain peace wothin the nation
and with other nations. to regulate
the !oves of its people. to bring about
the welfare of the people - to be a
benefactor of the people.

world conditions - that is. relations
between governments of nations in
the world and woth onternal condo·
tions within these countries.
What, then. 1s the state of aHatrs
on the world today - between na·
tions, and within nations7 The state
of affairs today os one of war and
threat of war - not of peace lt os
the state of more than hall of all the
people on eanh hvong in abject pov·
eny. near starvation . illiteracy. un·
equal conditions , unhappiness.
anguish, suffering, hopelessness -
and death!
Every government today is fraught
woth insurmountable problems
groater 1han the heads of govern–
ment cen cope w1th .
Why is the kingdom of God going
to be set up?
Because only the government of
God. with the total power of God
based on the laws of God. can cope
with the thousands of problems be·
seuing these natoons and the whole
world - only the kingdom of God
can bnng peace and happiness and
unoversal well-beong to the people
now ruled over by those high on gov·
ernment. to whom ohe living Christ
is now sending me.
Why w ill the kingdom of God
solve all 1hese problems? Because
the law of God - the very founda·
toon and way ol Ida of the kingdom

our present generation - woll take
over world rule and brmg about
peacefuland happy l iving.
So with this knowledge. what do

talk about when 1 have meetings
with heads of state and others high
on lheor governrnents?
1 talk about those things human
government leaders are deal ing
with. 1oalk about world conditions. 1
talk about world problems and the
cause of all their problems. and the
way to world peace. general happi·
ness and well-being.
1 actually talk about Chnst's true
gospel mossage, but 1don't use the
word "gospel'" to them because
Satan has doceived the whole world
(Rev. 12.9) with the counterfeit
false "gospel," and they would
think 1 was bnnging that onto their
country - and 1would be silencedl
1tell them 1am coming with a mes–
sage of hopa and peace - that 1am
bringing them the cause of all the
troubles and evils - and the way to
world peaoe, happiness. JOY and uno·
versal prosperity. 1 tell thom 1 am
bringing them what science has
never discovered - what no reli-

And that. they do want to hear

way in faith . Then they may reco1ve
God's Holy Spirit and become an
heor of eterna/ lile on God's kingdoml
