In sorne cities where we stopped,
such as New Delhi, Teheran, and
Addis Ababa, where we already had
acquaintances at the top, we were
able to help them; and at other
places, such as Kuwait, Dubai, and
Cairo, they gave us prestige and
new contacts at the top in these
countries.
While Dr. Kissinger followed us,
arriving after we did at Aswan, we
expect to follow
him
into Jerusalem
early day after tomorrow. As it is,
a lthough we did not see each other,
both Dr. Kissinger and I were at
Aswan when the separation of
forces between Egypt and Israel was
finally signed at 12 noon today. We
were having lunch, very near the
world-famous Aswan High Dam.
Dr. Kissinger, supposedly, was hav–
ing a final meeting with President
Sadat of Egypt at bis "winte r pal–
ace" near the dam. Much of the
final working out of terms for the
separation of Israeli-Egyptian mili–
tary forces was worked out there,
these past two or three days. Dr.
Kissinger has been flying back and
forth between there and Jerusalem.
Now 1 have been in both Aswan
and Jerusalem within the last two
days. Dr. Kissinger has been work–
ing out a temporary "permanent"
peace between Israel and Egypt. I
am working toward a real

millions of these - illiterate, help–
less. The poverty-stricken unedu–

people on earth. Does that touch
your heart?
