Now chis doesn'r mean rhar all
rhose who begin rírhing suddenly in–
herir a huge sum of money, or rhar
God immediately performs sorne in–
credible miracle. Bur over che long
haul, God blesses those who fairhfully
pay

will spread out ro accomplish whac
che 100% would have. God promises
ro prosper rhe rirher. And God keeps
His promises!
Don't Rob God
How long you can get away wirh
evading taxes bcforc you are indicted,
rried, fincd and/or jailed I don'c
know - nor wíll I find out because I
pay rhem when rhcy are due. How
long anyone can be guilry of rithe
evasion and nor suffer che conse–
qucnces wirhouc even realizing ir is a
quesrion che answer of which I per–
sonally don'r wanr co experience.
Malachi admonished an end-rime
generarion ro repent. Immediately af–
rer che verse where he explains rhac
God does nor change (Malachi 3:6),
Malachi gives a specific example of an
ordinancc (or sracucc) God has noc
changed.
Ir
explains one way in
which an individual or narion can bc–
gin ro recurn ro God: "Even from che
days of your fathers ye are gone away
from mine ordinances, and have nor
kepr chem.
Retum
unto me, and I will
recuro umo you, sairh che Lord of
hosrs. Bur ye say,
Wherein shall 1ve re–
tum?

we robbed chee'
In tithes and of!erings.
Ye are cursed wirh a curse: for
YE
HAVE ROOBED ME,
even chis whole na–
tion"! (Malacbi 3:7-9) .
I
cerrainly don't want ro be
broughc before che court of final
judgmem with rhe si n of having
robbed God ! Admirredly, chis is a
negarive reason, but ir is
t1
reason, and
a
powerful one
ro
me.
Can'c Afford Noc ro
Tithe
The tifrh reason I ri che is rhat I
can'c afford
NOT
ro tirhe. And chis
reason is
not
as negarive as ir migbr
tirst appear. So many demands are laid
on our income, as 1 explained ac rhe
beginning of chis arrícle, char, when
we come ro che knowledge of tithing,
ir seems an impossíble burden ro be
added. Buc che proof of pracrice of
many rhousands over many years
shows chis is nor valid.
When God begins ro inrervene in
your life, He helps you in so many
ways rhac you can'r possibly recognize
rhem al
l.
Somehow, despice rhe marh–
emarics and all che orher prior-claim
deducrions, che ninery percenr you are
left wich after you rithe covers much
more of your needs chao che 100%
did before. Exaccly how chis works I
don'r know, buc I do know ir does.
Thinking on
it
from time ro rime,
I've come up wirh ideas. How many
accidents have 1 been saved from be–
cause God is wirh me? 1 don't know.
The rroubles we all ger into are easy
ro see, bur whac if we could see all
che problems we were kepr from!
How many rimes have I been kepc
from illness (my doctor bilis are vir–
rually nil for a family of four)' How
much has Gocl given me grace and fa–
vor in che eyes of oflicials, employers
and friends when I most needed ir?
Orhers also feel rhis way. Ler me
share wich you che experiences of
sorne who cemporarily sroppcd rirhing:
