6. But who could honestly say that
man
di.ffers only quantitatively from
chimp? Who but man possesses the
awareness of ecstasy, the ecstasy of
love, the love of beauty, the beauty
of accomplishment, the accomplish–
ment of inspiration, the inspiration of
creativity, the creativity of wisdom,
the wisdom of humility, the humility
of knowledge, the knowledge of hu–
mor, and the humor of himself ?
Man
stands apart.
Wholly distinct in qual–
ity. A wholly unique creature.
7.
We formulate our conclusion:
a. The human bcain is qualitatively
identical to animal brain, mercly con–
tinuing the gradual increase in com–
plexity, evidenced by all mammals.
b. All brain research - anatomy,
biochemistry, electrophysiology
staunchly prodaims that the human
brain is
j1111
barely
superior to chimp
brain, whereas chimp braio is
sttb–
stantiatly
superior to rat brain.
c. Consequently,
if
the human mind
is entirely the product of the human
brain, then the human mind can be
j~tst
barel)'
superior to chimp "mind,"
whereas chimp "rnind" must be
Jflb–
stantialty
superior to rat "mind."
d. But chimps and rats have quali–
tatively the
same
compulsivc behav–
ioral patterns.
e. And the self-conscious human
mind is supreme beyond measure -
unequivocally distinct and irrevocably
disassociatcd from the stcreotyped
behavior of chimp.
f.
As a result, it is obvious that the
slim
superiority of the human brain
ovec the animal brain caonot possibly
account for this unbridgeable gulf
that exists between the uniquely un–
restrained human
mind
and the in–
stinctively automatic animal brain.
g.
Therefore, a NON-physical addi–
tive m11st attgmenl the h11man
brai11,
co1rverling it into the hmnan mind,
since oo physical component exists
that can account for it.
The h11man BRAIN cannot explain
the hmnan MIND.
It's plain. lt's
simple. There
mmt
be a non-physical
ingredient in the human mind.
