Greetings from the Television Studios.
The response to the first two summer reruns of the "World Tomorrow"
program has been doing very well in spite of the expected fewer number of
people that view television in the summer.
The weekend response to the program "Where Are We Now in Bible Prophecy?"
that aired on the July 4 weekend produced 25,756 calls.
This was an
excellent response considering all the Fourth of July activities that
pull people out of their living rooms and away from their television sets
into numerous outdoor activities.
This particular weekend a record
number of stations preempted our program with either the Wimbledon Tennis
Tournament or the Goodwill Games. Mail Processing Center has calculated
that we would have probably received another 4,400 calls if those
preemptions had not taken place.
The program "The United States and Britain in Prophecy," airing the
second weekend in July, drew 18,794 weekend calls, which is very good
since the initial response was 22,147 calls when the program first aired
in February. This time several key stations preempted with the Goodwill
Games--so we estimate that another additional 1,000-1,200 calls probably
would have come in.
Each of the last two programs produced 75 ministerial visit requests.
Please continue to pray for God to bless the effectiveness of each and
every telecast.
