PASTOR GENERAL'S REPORT, NOVEMBER 2, 1984
Though
several of
these
people
proved to
have
superficial
interest after a personal visit, nonetheless, we have had some
very fine prospective members start attending services.
Once
again, we owe it to the great team effort God has inspired be
tween His Apostle, other leaders at Headquarters and our diligent
local members supporting the work of God's Church.
ALBANY, NY--LYLE WELTY:
Our teens cleaned up the local fair
grounds.
The owner was very impressed--he said we did a far bet
ter job than anyone ever did and did it in about a quarter of the
time.
He was surprised that teens could be so well behaved and
hardworking.
He even called the local newspaper, who sent some
one out to write an article about the group.
The owner was so
pleased that he gave us almost double the price we had agreed up-
on.

FROM THE LEGAL OFFICE
Mr. Helge's New Home Phone Numbers
Effective immediately, my home telephone numbers, for church use, have been
changed.
I am advised that the telephone company recording cannot give my
new numbers.
Therefore, if there is a need to reach me during non-business
hours, my home numbers now are:
{818) 304-4018 and 304-4019.
These numbers
are for ministerial use only.

UPDATE FROM MAIL PROCESSING
Record TV Responses
During the past two weekends, we have had two of the highest responses ever
to "The WORLD TOMORROW" telecast!
The program "Revelation: Catastrophic
Event," which aired October 20-21, brought in a new all-time record--13,940
calls.
The previous record of 13,873 calls was set by the very same program
on January 21-22 of this year.
Programs about prophecy normally draw heavy responses.
Interestingly, this
particular program had few graphics.
It is apparent that Mr. Armstrong's
message of and by itself prompted more people to call than ever before.
The program "What is the Basis of Religion?," which aired October 27-28,
drew 13,290 calls.
This was the third highest weekend response ever.
As
you may have noticed, this was the first time Mr. Armstrong did not use
notes in addressing the audience.
Those responding showed particular interest in the details of Mr. Arm
strong's background and of the modern era of God's Church.
They were also
intrigued about the truth concerning the Sabbath and how the United States
fits into Bible prophecy.
Following are some of the comments we received
about the telecasts of the past two weekends:
"The WORLD TOMORROW" program was wonderful this morning.
I am so
interested in the Sabbath because some people say that the sev-
