3. A team should not play more than two games in one day.
4. Other modifications may be made by mutual agreement of the
coaches. For example, Ambassador College no longer uses the
"jump ball" at all.
We hope you continue to use these games as opportunities for recreation
and fellowship. But let's take every precaution to avoid unnecessary
tragedy.
International News
Update From London Our British office in Radlett, England has released
the following interesting summary of their activities for all of 1980:
Promotion Activity Used Throughout the Year
Advertising Ads for the PT appeared in two million Continental news
papers and magazines, seven million Scandinavian newspapers, and 59
million U.K. and Eire newspapers. This produced a total of 52,000
requests for The PLAIN TRUTH at an average cost per response of
under Eil.50.
Over 67,000 pieces of mail advertising The PLAIN TRUTH were mailed
during 1980 to extremely high calibre English-speaking people
(company directors, university professors, etc.) on the continent
of Europe and in the Middle East. This produced over 11,500 re
quests for the magazine, or an overall 17.1% response.
Exhibitions The PLAIN TRUTH was presented to the public using dis
play boards and dispensers at 24 exhibition sites throughout the U.K.
Together with promotions done in the surrounding districts, this
programme distributed 800,000 leaflets and 100,000 sample copies of
The PLAIN TRUTH.
Income
Income has been holding up well throughout the year. December itself
had a 28% increase over the same period last year, giving a final
year-to-date figure of +30%.
Mail and PT Subscriptions
1980 has been a year of exceptional growth in all files served by
the Radlett Office, with the one exception of East and West Africa,
where there was no specific promotion designed for the area. Over
200,000 pieces of mail were received by the office in 1980. The
following percentages for mail show the increases for 1980 over 1979,
and the percentages for the PT show the changes for December of 1980
over the same month of 1979:
