What Our Readers Say
Sllent Holocaust
Your article on abortion appearing
in
The Plain Truth
was the most
moving piece I've ever read on the
subject.
lt should be read by politicians,
woman groups and any others who
support abortions.
I t certainly opened my eyes.

Emp lre Strikes Back
The article on
Star Wars
and
The
Empire Strikes Back
caught my eye.
The author of the article brougbt out
sorne interesting points, but tbere is
one point he missed.
l
tbought per–
haps you might be interested that the
name of Han Solo's ship is
Millen–
nium Fa/con.
That ship has also rep–
resented salvation for the good guys
by being the means of escaping the
clutches of Darth Vader many times.
Maybe the author would like to use
that point in another article.

Race Rlot s
Your "Personal" in the November
issue was very interesting. Also tbe
article "Race Riots" by Rader and
Calkins was very informative. Seldom
February 1981
do we get the whole trutb when
things like this occur.

On Wlngs of Song
Thank you, Clayton Steep, for
writing a very fair article by
not
con–
demning just rock ' n' roll music in
general.
1
agree with you when you
said: "Not every song sung today is
decadent or objectionable. Neither
were all of the songs sung in the past
ages wholesome and good ."

I'm familiar with songs written
from
1900
to today's disco, because
1
play a trumpet as a hobby. I've
noticed that those songs that with–
stand the test of time and endure and
become the standards are those with
lyrics which are clean and whole–
some.
The song
1
have in mind is titled
" Don't Take Your Love From Me."
1
wish to write here sorne of the words
in tbat song to show you what
l
mean: "Tear a star from out of the
sky, and the sky feels blue. Tear a
petal from a rose, and the rose weeps
too. Would you take the wings from
birds, so tbat they can't fly? Would
you take the ocean's roar, and leave
just a sigh? All this your heart won't
Jet you do. This is all
1
ask of you,
'Don't take your !ove from me.' "

Nation" by John Halford , 1 looked at
the pictures of the Haitian people.

l
must say that this is a most excel–
lent magazine apart from any "spiri–
tual" articles as such.
I
find the very
broad scope of affairs covered-and
how important they are--of great
interest. All is well-written, and the
logic of your arguments
1
find quite
acceptable
( 1
have an analytical
mind). Many of your arguments and
explanations, which are quite new to
me,
1
find convincing-and want to
know more. When
The Plain Truth
arrives
I
read it from cover to cover
the same day.

free booklets advertised on television;
mainly the one titled
Why
Were You
Born?
1 happened to turn the TV on
one day, and caught part of your pro–

easy to relate to.
