ABOUT OUR COVER
A harvester's cupped hands hold the world 's most precious food commodity-wheat.
For his photo essay Canadian Peter Christopher spent many weeks on !he Great
Plains living and traveling with the nomadic harvester families of North America. This
singular photo is symbolic of how small a quanlity of grain separates file from death
by starvallon for a family in the Third World.
