That is t he way
we
wi ll look in
the resur rect ion- IF we t ruly hum–
ble ourselves to be forgiven our
tran sgressions and begin to do
God's wi ll and
believe
his Word
and
obey
his commands! That is
why
vou
were
born!
A Job to Perform
An old-time religious song talks
about "rolling around heaven all
day."
But J esus said: " My Fat he r
WORKET H
bitberto, and
l
WORK"
(John 5: 17) . God is tbe creator , the
builder, tbe sus tainer of all his cre–
ation. He is busy-not only with
matters on earth, but throughout
the vastness of the entire universe.
God may even now bave absolutely
stupendous projects under way in
various par ts of t he cosmos that he
wi ll bring us in on
after
we are
resu rrected and born into his fami–
ly.
Fo r the next thousand years,
though , t hose whom God is now
calli ng to lifetimes of se rvi ce
already know wbat t beir primary
duties will be.
Notice: " And he that overcom–
eth, and keepeth my works unto the
end, to bim will 1 give power over
the nations: and he shall rule them
with a rod of iron ..." (Rev. 2:26-
27). The first job will be to
restore
order to this planet!
Under C hr ist ,
t be resurrected king David will
once again be placed over all 12
tribes of Israel (Ezek. 37:24). The
12 apost les, resurrected, will eacb
be given authori ty over one tribe of
t he reunited House of Israel (Luke
22:30).
And all t hose in t he Church of
God that J esus founded - a nd
t hrough wbicb God is now working
to warn this world-all t hose who
bave overcome and remained
faithfu l to t he end, are to be given
"au thor ity over
TEN CITrEs"
or
"over
five cities"
depending on
how much
they bave grown spiri–
tually and overcome (Luke 19:16-
38
19). There will be no empty bore–
dom and frus tra t ion witb notbing
to do! Rather , God wi ll share with
bis newly born sons the chaJienge
of finally bringing infinite peace,
prosperity and
JOY
to the peoples of
this earth!
O ur ulti mate c ha llenge and
responsi bil ity extends even beyond
t bis earth and its peoples. " Know
y e not that we s h a ll j u d ge
ANGELS?
how much more things
that pertain to t h is life?" ( I Cor.
6:3.)
And I saia b was inspired t o
write: "Of tbe inc rease of
his
gov–
ernment and peace
there shall be
no end, upon the t hrone of David,
and u pon his kingdom, to order it,
and t o est ablish it with j udgment
and with justice from henceforth
even for ever. T he zeal of t he
Lord of hosts wi ll perform tbis"
( Isa. 9:7).
And all t his is to be accom–
plisbed with and t hroug h t hose of
us who now are willing to
BEUEVE
wbat God reveals about our " reason
for being," and who now are willing
to
SURRENDER
our wi ll to bis. Witb
and t b rougb bumans finally born
again as immortal beings, by a res–
ur rection, into tbe kingdom of tbe
great God, t he C reator will expand
his government and direct the ·pro–
grams and projects of his divine
family to the far corners of t he uní–
verse!
Even the word
awesome
seems
inadequate to describe the oppor tu–
nities and cballenges our Maker
has in s tore for us.
Totality of God's Love
T he incredible future that awaits
those who overcome will be the
prod uct of the outflowing
LOVE
t hat God the Father and bis Son,
J esus, have had and do continuaJiy
bave for the human family. " For
God so
LOVED
t he world, that he
CAVE
bis on ly begotten Son .. . "
(J obn 3:16).
God is t he one who
/oves
and
who
G I VES.
God 's desire is to
SHARE
eternity in a
family re/a–
tionship-a
divi ne family com–
posed of the bumans who would
sur render themselves to God's will ,
be litera ll y
b ego tt e n
of God
through reception of the Holy Spir–
it, and finally be
BORN
of God–
composed of the Holy Spirit-JF
t hey continue yielding to God and
growi ng in the divine nature
through a life of prayer, st udy and
spiritual overcoming.
Few realize it , but the
rea l
Lord 's prayer- J esus'
only
com–
plete p rayer in tbe Bible-was
d irectly concerned wit h t his very
awesome human poten tial.
Here is J esus' request: " And
now, O Fa t her, glorify thou me
with thine own self witb the glory
which 1 had with t hee before the
world was" (John 17:5). Before
his human conception, J esus had
shared eternity with the Father.
Now he reques ted t hat bis total
di vine

be r et u rned to
him!
Then he prayed for h is disciples
(verses 9- 1
1),
and for others who
wou ld come to believe through
thei r teaching (verse 20). H e
asked: " H o ly F a t her , kee p
through thine own name t hose
whom t hou bast given me,
that
they may be ONE, as we are"
(verse
11).
Again, he prayed: "That they all
may be one; as thou, Father, art in
me, and

in t hee, that t hey also
may be one in us: that t be world
may bel ieve that t hou hast sent me.
And the glory which t hou gavest
me I have given t hem; that they
may be one, even as we are one: 1 in
t hem, and t hou in me, that they
may be made per fect in one; and
that the world may know that thou
hast sent me, and hast loved them,
as thou hast loved me" (verses 2 1-
23).
J esus asked that the exact
same
GLORY
that he was to receive be
given to his followers!
W hat will
you
be like in the
resu rrection?
!f
you grasp this
fantastic calling,
if
you overcome
and make it,
your
face will
SHINE
like t he sun in fu ll st rength,
your
voice will
BOOM
like roll ing thun–
der (Ps. 18: 13), and you wi ll pos–
sess the awesome
POWER
t hat t he
Father has determined to share
with
al/
the members of his fam–
ily.
God has left
NOTHING
in t he
entire universe t bat will not be sub–
jec t to the ultimate author ity and
power of God and his spirit-born
sons!
That is why you and I were born!
That is
why
the resurrection . o
The PLAIN TRUTH
