WHEN I was a very little boy, I was taught to hang up my stocking on Christmas eve. When I awakened the next morning, it was filled with small toys and sacks or little boxes of candy and nuts. How many times have you heard non-Christians, judging one who professes Christ, say in disgust: “Well if that’s Christianity, I don’t want any of it!” How many judge GOD by the way professing Christians live? How many assume that one must live a perfect life, before he can become a Christian? How many say: “If I could give up smoking, I’d become a Christian.” How many think a Christian is supposed to be perfect, never doing anything wrong? Suppose you do see or hear about a Christian doing something wrong. Does that mean he is a hypocrite  – that he is not really a Christian, after all? Is it possible for one to actually sin while he is a Christian and still remain a truly converted Christian? The startling truth is that few know just what is a Christian. Few know how one is converted — whether suddenly, all at once, or gradually. Does conversion happen immediately, or is it a process? It’s high time we understood what constitutes real conversion.

DO CHRISTIANS ever sin? If one does, is he lost?

First let me ask — and answer the question “What is true Christian conversion?” “What is a real Christian in the sight of God?” Does joining a church make one a Christian? Does saying, “I accept the Lord Jesus Christ as my Saviour” make one a Christian?

Let’s get the Bible definition. In Romans 8:6-9 you will read: “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind [fleshly mind] is enmity [hostile] against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh [fleshly minded] cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”

Why is the Bible the most misunderstood book in all history? The most twisted, distorted, maligned, misrepresented and lied-about book there is? Because people refuse to believe it means exactly what it says! Apply these simple basic rules and you will begin to really understand the plain truth of God’s Word!’

Is THERE a devil? Many people talk about the devil and
Satan. Others scoff and say it’s just superstition and imagination.

But is there a devil? According to most Christians the Bible is
supposed to each that the devil is the god of this world. Indeed it does teach
that!

The Bible pictures the whole world under the sway of an invisible devil.
Where did he come from? Did God create a devil to tempt us and to try to lead us
astray? And then to punish us if we follow the devil?

God Is CREATOR of ALL!

So, let’s look back to the very beginning. Open your Bible to Genesis 1:1.
“In the beginning God.” God was before all. The next word is “created.” “God
created.” He created the heaven and the earth.

But the very next verse says this: “The earth was without form and void.” The
Hebrew words for “without form and void” are tohu and bohu.
Translated into English they mean chaotic, in confusion, waste, and
empty.

When God created the heaven and the earth, did He create this earth
originally in a state of confusion? Did He create it all topsy-turvy and
chaotic?

World NOT Created in Chaos

We read in I Corinthians 14:33 that God is NOT the author of
confusion. God is the author of peace. God is the author of order and of
law.

Notice Job 38:4-9. God says there that the angels shouted for joy when
He created the earth. It must then have been a perfect creation, not a
creation that was in chaos and confusion!

Why would He create it in disorder and then have to straighten it out? That
doesn’t make sense! Dr. Bullinger, the Hebrew authority, says that the Hebrew
word for “created,” used in Genesis 1:1, ” implies that the creation was a
perfect work.” That very word “created” implies a perfect and a beautiful order
and system, not chaos or confusion!

Then how did it become chaotic?

Better be sure whether this brand is upon you! Without it, no man will be able to buy or sell! Without it, you may be tortured even unto death! But with it, you shall suffer the SEVEN LAST PLAGUES OF GOD!

SOME used to say this mystic “mark” was the faces on the old United States dimes. During World War II many said it was Hitler’s swastika. During the Depression New Deal many said it was Roosevelt’s NRA!

This is the sole passage ordinarily quoted:

“And he [the second "beast"] causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a MARK in their right hand, or in their foreheads: and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name” (Rev. 13:16-17).

From this one passage the speaker customarily uses his imagination. The general idea seems to be that since you will not be able to buy or sell without this mysterious mark, and since we all wish to be able to buy and sell, therefore we ought to do all in our power to receive this mark!
